第一部分：SimpleSwap 的视角

1. 私有资产的保障止于交换边界

Connecting a wallet exposes the address, balance, approval history, and signature surface to every script loaded on the page. Deposit address exchanges are less exposed: Users receive an address and send funds from the wallet they control, without having to connect to anything in the browser or sign anything. Domain names and receiving addresses still need to be checked manually. In August, SimpleSwap's work delved into the mechanisms behind these routes: adding new routes to the pool and providing private transfers in selected pairings.

Part 2: SecureShift's Perspective

4. Privacy is becoming a property of routing, not just assets.

SecureShift's hybrid decentralized exchange (DEX) model reflects the practicality of moving between Monero and transparent assets. The decentralized part of the exchange handles the path of the transparent chain, while XMR can be obtained by using USDC or USDT as a managed bridge for intermediary assets. In other words, routing does not view XMR as an isolated endpoint, but rather views exchanges as a series of different settlement environments, each with its own attributes.

5. XMR 的需求正在跨路由和网络扩散

This is important because users 'decisions are no longer just about whether to hold privacy-oriented assets, but also about which network to enter from, which asset to use as an intermediary if necessary, and where the asset will ultimately be settled. SecureShift's comprehensive exchange currently supports thousands of currencies with an average redemption time of 2 to 10 minutes, indicating that privacy-related routing is increasingly present in the same infrastructure as ordinary cross-chain exchanges, rather than as a separate category.

From an exchange perspective, the interesting signal is not only the need for XMR itself, but also the ongoing need for routes that include XMR as part of larger cross-chain transactions.

6. The next privacy layer is routing transparency

The growth of multi-chain switching raises a second privacy issue: not only about what users send and receive, but also about what happens in between. Routes may span multiple networks, assets, and sources of liquidity before the final asset reaches the user's wallet. Each additional path may have different transaction visibility and different custody assumptions.

SecureShift's DEX architecture is built around this multi-chain reality. Its DEX supports cross-chain exchanges while maintaining supported on-chain settlement for decentralized paths, and the platform currently lists more than 1,300 token pairs on the DEX interface. The hybrid XMR model adds another layer of complexity by using USDC or USDT as a bridge when moving between the XMR environment and the transparent network.

This suggests that the way privacy is discussed is changing. Users increasingly need to understand the routing itself: what assets are used at each stage, which network records which hop, and when custody rights intervene in the process. Privacy is no longer a single function added to a coin, but is assembled with every jump and sometimes lost.

Responsibility left on the client side

The article on privacy written by two services should end where the responsibility lies, not the service itself. None of this is complicated:

• Check domain names before every deposit. The only official domain name for SimpleSwap is simpleswap.io;SecureShift is SecureShift.io. Counterfeiting domain names is the most common way for funds to disappear.
• Verify the receiving address character by character on a device you trust.
• The network was deliberately selected. Assets in the wrong chain are usually not recoverable by any service.
• Learn about routing exposure. Exchanges from private assets to transparent assets lead to transparent transactions. Decide whether this is important before sending.
• Never share mnemonic words or private keys. It is not needed for any exchange service.
• Save order ID before sending. 如果交易停滞，这是支持部门唯一的参考依据。
