XRP XRP ledger account creation surged by 535%, payments doubled, but the number of active users dropped.
According to data from the XRP ledger network activity dashboard, network indicators have fluctuated significantly recently: the number of new accounts created has climbed sharply by 535.2% to approximately 2,900, and the number of active accounts increased by 218.1%, but the overall number of active users dropped by 70.6%. The number of payment transactions more than doubled to 1.2 million, the total payment reached 704.2 million XRPs, and the total transaction volume reached 2.4 million. Although higher trading activity has pushed fee destruction to 300.3 XRPs, dashboard data cannot yet determine whether this increase in participation has truly expanded network coverage.
Deviation between account growth and user indicators
The number of accounts created on the XRP ledger increased by 535.2% month-on-month to approximately 2,900, while the number of payment transactions more than doubled. However, the sharp decline in active users complicates interpretation of the breadth of the activity. Specifically, the number of active accounts increased by 218.1% to approximately 15,300, indicating that more existing accounts participated in network interactions during the comparison period. At the same time, despite the increase in transaction volume, the dashboard's "active users" measure fell 70.6% to about 140,000.

During the period covered by the dashboard, the number of XRPs destroyed through transaction fees increased by 225.7% to approximately 300.3 XRPs. There is a small cost to destroy each XRP ledger transaction, which explains the higher total destruction volume that occurs as trading activity increases. Changes in online data also coincide with a rebound in XRP market prices, with reports showing prices at around $1.53. XRP fell back after approaching $1.70 during the session, but book activity alone cannot explain the price trend.
Similarly, the dashboard cannot determine whether a larger share of additional transactions is generated by a small group of users. Data shows increased payments, increased XRP transfers and increased account creation, while its active user indicator is moving in the opposite direction. Overall, although various transaction indicators have increased significantly, this set of differences has left the breadth of network growth still to be clarified.
