FollowingBinance Wallet adds USDT Gas fee payment function
Binance Wallet already supports the use of USDT (TEDA), the world's most widely used stablecoin, to pay Gas fees on four blockchain networks. This update means that users holding USDT no longer need to keep local tokens for each network separately to cover transaction costs.
Specific changes to Binance Wallet
The Gas fee is a small fee charged by the blockchain network to process and confirm transactions. Previously, paying for these fees typically required holding individual tokens for each network, such as ETH on Ethereum or BNB on BNB Chain. Binance has been optimizing the prioritization of stablecoins in its products, previously removing specific USDC spot trading pairs in another product update.
This update to Binance Wallet allows users to pay Gas fees directly using the USDT. The feature is currently available on four networks, although Binance has not publicly confirmed the complete list of support chains. This change has the greatest impact on users who mainly hold stablecoins. In the past, users had to manage multiple token balances to cover fees on different chains, but now, on supported networks, a single USDT balance can bear this cost.
In addition, Binance is also expanding its broader product line, including the launch of wealth management products linked to 11 U.S. listed ETFs, aiming to provide more financial instruments within its ecosystem.
