Regulatory trends and geopolitical uncertainty

A cryptocurrency market analyst pointed out that Bitcoin, Ethereum and Kadano are approaching a critical technological fork in the road, while the U.S. Senate's review of the Clarification Act and renewed tensions related to Iran signal a period of high uncertainty for the digital asset market. The current uncertainty mainly focuses on two aspects: first, the situation in the Middle East continues to evolve, as the United States continues to strike Iranian military targets; second, Washington's lack of clear progress on the Clarification Act, a bill on the structure of the cryptocurrency market. The bill is currently awaiting consideration in the Senate. The market observer pointed out that digital assets have historically been poorly responsive to long-term uncertainties and emphasized the critical importance of upcoming Senate news.

On the legislative front, Patrick Witt, the chief negotiator for the Clarification Act, is said to be optimistic about the bill's progress, but Senate Majority Leader John Thune poured cold water on it, reportedly telling reporters that the bill is still unlikely to receive a full house vote before the August recess. The risk of an indefinite postponement of the Senate's deliberations could exacerbate recent market volatility and extend the current price consolidation period in the cryptocurrency market. Market participants are closely watching whether Senate leadership will refuse to put the bill to a vote before recess, which could delay regulatory clarity.

The analyst believes the next few trading days are particularly critical and sees August 7 as the latest actual deadline before the U.S. Senate recess. Positive signals from lawmakers or a reduction in geopolitical tensions may help digital assets break through current trends, while negative events may further strengthen market risk aversion.

Technical Analysis of Bitcoin, Ethereum and Cadano

From a technical perspective, Bitcoin is currently forming a potential head-to-shoulder pattern, which has historically been regarded as a bullish reversal signal. However, the analyst pointed out that this pattern has not yet been confirmed and still depends on whether Bitcoin can hold its current price or rise further. A price attack on the 200-day moving average, which is currently close to $72,000, would mark an important bullish development and could reverse weeks of decline.

Key support for Bitcoin is in the US$61,000 to US$59,000 range. A continued break below this area could push prices towards a broader Fibonacci correction band of approximately $48,000 to $57,000, of which $56,000 is highlighted as a key pivot point. Specifically: Bitcoin's key resistance is US$72,000, initial support is in the range of US$61,000 to US$59,000, and the key support area is US$48,000 to US$57,000. The key resistance level for Ethereum is US$2,100, with initial support close to the downtrend line, and the key support area is US$1,500. Cadano is testing a moving average with initial support at $0.13 and key support areas of $0.10 to $0.12.

Ethereum is currently trading just above a downtrend line, with its 20-day moving average trying to break above the 50-day moving average. The analyst warned that similar patterns have failed before, but a strong rebound towards the 200-day moving average near $2,100 would be a significant bullish signal. On the contrary, if it weakens again, Ethereum may fall into the $1,500 region.

Cardano is also dealing with weakening momentum and is testing key moving averages after multiple failed attempts to reverse. If there is a sharp decline, the ADA may retest $0.13 or even drop to the $0.10 to $0.12 range.

Legislation, Charts and Investor Strategies

The analyst emphasized that while regulatory progress is not the only factor influencing the direction of the market, they come at a time when technical indicators for major cryptocurrencies are at critical levels. This intersection makes support, resistance and proactive allocation strategies increasingly important to investors in the coming weeks. While waiting for a clear signal from U.S. lawmakers, traders are closely watching geopolitical dynamics and technical turning points on major cryptocurrency charts. Results in the next few trading days could set the tone for price movements for the rest of the summer.

Dictionary: Clarity Act

The Clarity Act is a proposed U.S. law that aims to define the regulatory status of digital assets and clarify the responsibilities of federal agencies in cryptocurrency regulation.
