Ethereum is receiving renewed attention: Whale trading and ETF inflows drive market sentiment
Recently, Ethereum (ETH) has once again become the focus of close attention by traders and institutional investors. Factors driving this trend include a significant increase in trading by large holders (whale), improvements in technical indicators, and continued net inflows of cash exchange-traded funds (ETFs). As market participants assess the sustainability of Ethereum's recent rebound, attention is turning to whether the cryptocurrency can maintain its upward momentum in the coming weeks.
Key Support Levels and Price Trend
Currently, Ethereum (ETH) is trading at US$1,916.03. In the past 24 hours, the asset's price has risen 1.70%, bringing daily trading volume to US$23.13 billion. The total market value of Ethereum is US$231.23 billion, accounting for 10.53% of the total market value of the entire cryptocurrency market.
Trading activity among large holders has increased significantly. Data shows that Whale Wallet transferred or sold approximately 226,435 ETH units in one day, with the value of these transactions close to US$430 million, reflecting significant movements among major market participants.
Cryptocurrency analyst Ali Charts pointed out that $1733 is a key support level for Ethereum. He warned that if prices fall below that level, it could undermine previous rebound efforts. Ethereum's prospects depend on whether it can hold on to the support of $1733 and challenge the resistance level in the $1980 to $2080 range. As investors pay more attention to these signals, future trends will become more critical.
After a brief correction to around $1600, Ethereum has rebounded and regained its footing on some key technical indicators, indicating that buying interest among traders and investors is recovering.
ETF capital inflows highlight institutional demand
Ethereum's institutional adoption rate continues to increase. On July 28, Morgan Stanley Ethereum Trust (MSSE) was officially listed on Arca on the New York Stock Exchange, increasing the number of spot Ethereum ETFs to 11, further broadening the channels for traditional investors to access the asset. According to SoValue, MSSE recorded a net inflow of $5.15 million on the first trading day, with trading volume reaching $19.03 million.
Meanwhile, BlackRock's ETHB remains the leading Ethereum ETF in daily inflows, attracting a net inflow of US$5.91 million on its latest trading day. The fund currently has a total cumulative net inflow of US$529 million, highlighting the continued interest of institutional clients.
The total net assets of all spot Ethereum ETFs have risen to US$10.5 billion, accounting for approximately 4.53% of the total market value of Ethereum. The total cumulative net inflows from these funds have reached US$11.21 billion, reflecting strong market demand for Ethereum investment products.
Specifically, BlackRock's daily net inflow of ETHB was US$5.91 million, with a cumulative net inflow of US$529 million; Morgan Stanley's first-day net inflow of MSSE was US$5.15 million. The combined net inflow of all spot Ethereum ETFs was US$11.21 billion and total net assets were US$10.5 billion. (Note: Morgan Stanley is a multinational investment banking and financial services company headquartered in the United States; New York Stock Exchange Arca is an all-electronic stock exchange operated by the New York Stock Exchange, focusing on ETFs and stock trading.)
Outlook and Points of Concern
Ethereum is entering a critical stage, with its price approaching important support levels around $1733, while resistance levels of $1980 and $2080 may become obstacles to further gains. Future price trends are expected to be affected by multiple factors such as whale trading activity, ETF capital inflows, overall market sentiment and blockchain application demand.
Institutions 'preference for Ethereum (as evidenced by the development of ETFs) has added an important dimension to current demand, and technical indicators have begun to show stronger upward momentum. As key support and resistance levels become clear, Ethereum's next decisive move will set the tone for whether the rally evolves into a sustained trend or just a short-term recovery.
Observers pointed out that market volatility remains high, and the final result may depend on whether Ethereum can hold support and attract more investment activity. The next few weeks are seen as critical periods in determining the long-term direction of the asset.
