Since then, the market has mainly traded around US$77,000. However, this calm did not last long. On Monday, the price fell to $76,400, but buyers immediately regained control and pushed Bitcoin back to $79,600 until the eve of the CLARITY Act vote.

The veto of the CLARITY Act triggers a new round of pullbacks

The day before the vote, the market closely monitored the progress of the bill. When the Senate formally rejected a motion to advance the text, prices had long since fallen from their highs. The news exacerbated selling pressure.

Bitcoin then fell to US$75,000, its lowest level in three weeks. Despite another dip, the buyer still managed to hold this range. The market maintained this bottom consolidation before the end of the FOMC meeting.

The next day, the Federal Reserve raised interest rates by 25 basis points. This is the first rate hike in more than three years, but Bitcoin has not experienced a lasting negative reaction. Its price first slipped to $75,000, and then quickly recovered to above $76,000 within minutes.
