The investment firm has also developed products designed to give investors exposure to Bitcoin while limiting downside risks. Kudunis said the company has launched a Bitcoin ETF with 100% principal protection and offers products with 90% and 80% protection rates. Calamos has previously described its protected Bitcoin ETF product line as a way to provide Bitcoin exposure within an established risk framework.
Although Bitcoin's volatility remains a major consideration for traditional investors, Kudunis said investors should adopt a long-term perspective. "Bitcoin will exist for a long time. It is an asset that is held for a long time. Don't stare at it every day." "But we think it's a good investment," he said.
The company's CEO also stated that cryptocurrencies may continue to be an important part of the investment portfolio as institutional participation expands. At the time of writing, Bitcoin is trading at approximately $84,000.
