XDC Network's online activity hit a record high in August
XDC Network closed August with the strongest online activity month in history. According to data shared by XDC Network and cited by the Token Terminal analytics platform, the network processed 27.7 million transactions that month, a 50% increase from the average of the previous six months.
Institutional validator lineup expands
The network's validator ecosystem grew by approximately 26% during the quarter, and currently has more than 320 active nodes. Three new institutional verifiers were added in August: Hex Trust, a digital asset custodian active in the Asia-Pacific and Middle East, joined as the main node verifier, responsible for verifying transactions and participating in network consensus; Clear Street, a regulated financial infrastructure company based in New York, also joined the ranks of verifiers. The company serves more than 700 institutional customers and processes approximately 550 million shares per day; blockchain infrastructure provider LinkPool was the last institution to join in August. Robert Rutherford, CEO of Clear Street, explained the move from a capital markets perspective, saying the company hopes to be "accountable to the next level of capital markets" by participating in operations. Currently, the broader list of verifiers includes well-known institutions such as Deutsche Telekom, SBI Holdings, Animoca Brands, HashKey Cloud, and Republic.
OrbitX Cards and QAIX Alliance
August also brought two product-level developments. XDC Tokens have launched OrbitX Enterprise Cards, extending their application scenarios to daily commercial payments. In addition, the network launched QAIX, a Quantum Computing and Artificial Intelligence Alliance based on XDC. The alliance brings together leading institutions in quantum computing, digital assets, financial infrastructure and industrial robotics. It is headquartered in Manhattan and has branches in Washington, DC, Miami and the San Francisco Bay Area.
Behind this record transaction volume is XDC Networks 'strategic advancement to position itself as a settlement layer for real assets, trade finance and emerging AI proxy economies. The network is compatible with the Ethereum virtual machine, runs the XDPoS 2.0 protocol based on the delegated proof-of-stake consensus mechanism, and supports processing capabilities of up to 2000 transactions per second.
