Palantir deepens strategic partnership with Fujitsu
Palantir Technologies Inc. (PLTR) shares closed at $168.84 on Thursday, down slightly 0.41% from the previous session's close of $169.53. Previously, the company announced an expansion of its long-term strategic partnership with Fujitsu, a move that further strengthens Palantir's commercial influence in Japan and other international markets.
Fujitsu expands Palantir AIP and Foundry partnership
Fujitsu and Palantir Technologies Japan sign a new agreement covering Palantir AIP and its Foundry platform. Under the expanded partnership, Fujitsu will also serve as a Global Forward Deployed Engineering partner. As a result, the Japanese tech group will play a bigger role in implementing Palantir software for corporate customers.
The two companies will focus on companies that want to strengthen control over corporate data, operating systems and deployment environments. Palantir's software connects corporate information with workflows, access controls, audit systems, and operational applications. Fujitsu will combine these capabilities with its industry knowledge and technical services in multiple industries.
The partnership is also designed to meet the needs of companies that want to develop customized applications in a controlled and production-ready technical environment. Fujitsu will contribute its Takane language model, Uvance services, industry expertise and trained engineering professionals. As a result, customers can combine Palantir software with Fujitsu's existing systems and operational knowledge.
The Palantir platform brings significant savings to Japanese manufacturers
The two sides have demonstrated the results of their cooperation through a supply chain project for a major Japanese manufacturer. Fujitsu uses Palantir technology to connect information from more than 3,000 suppliers and 18 manufacturing facilities. The project also integrates previously separated enterprise systems without disrupting customers 'daily operations.
Within a year of deployment of the solution, the manufacturer recorded cost savings of more than $10 million. In addition, operational productivity has doubled as teams have faster access to connected information in the supply chain. The system also improves response to disruption events and supports faster operational decisions across the business.
The project provides a viable example for Fujitsu to expand Palantir deployments to more customers. It also shows how Palantir supports large organizations that manage complex supply chains and incoherent data systems. As a result, this partnership is expected to strengthen Palantir's position among Japanese companies seeking broader digital transformation projects.
Fujitsu builds global pre-deployment engineering capabilities
Fujitsu plans to invest heavily in pre-deployment engineering capabilities for customers in Japan's domestic and international markets. These engineers work directly with customers to build applications around specific operational needs and existing business systems. Since the collaboration began in 2020, Fujitsu has developed its engineering framework through a partnership with Palantir.
The expanded project will combine Palantir's software with Fujitsu's professional technical team and experience in several major industries. Fujitsu will also use its Uvance business platform to connect company data with front-line operations. As a result, both companies plan to support deployments that go beyond basic software installations.
Palantir and Fujitsu will continue to jointly carry out customer projects in Japan and other global markets. Fujitsu will provide industry services and engineering support to organizations adopting Palantir Foundry and AIP. The renewed partnership provides Palantir with another channel to expand corporate deployments through Fujitsu's existing customer network.
