ADA Cadano founder Hoskinson: Treasury funding decisions miss opportunities or weaken ecological development
Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson pointed out that Treasury funding approval decisions have caused the network to miss important development opportunities. He believes that some of the rejected project proposals could have strengthened the ADA tokens and their broader ecosystem.
In a live broadcast on September 18, Hoskinson used the Pogan project as an example to explain it. He said the project could have been a gateway to bring trillions of dollars in bitcoin liquidity into the Cadano decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem, thereby increasing total lockdown value, stablecoin activity and transaction volume.
It is worth noting that in April this year, Input Output Global (IOG) applied for financial support for Pogan. However, after the community requested that the overall funding package be split into nine independent proposals, IOG split its funding plan. This change indirectly led to the obstruction of the project's advancement.
The funding veto led to the project moving to multiple chains and missing transaction fee revenue
"Unfortunately, this did not have a direct impact on Pogan's commercial operations." Hoskinson said,"But it means Pogan chose multi-chain deployment rather than focusing on Cadano. As a result, you can't get the resulting upside on transaction fees, which flow in other directions."

主权财富基金提案亦被视为错失机会
霍斯金森还提到了另一个被视作错失的机会：一项关于建立主权财富基金的提案。该提案涉及 1 亿美元的稳定币，他对比了在 ADA 价格约为 0.83 美元时买入与在价格跌至 0.20 美元以下时买入的潜在价值差异。“想象一下，如果我们在 0.83 美元的 ADA 价位锁定 1 亿美元稳定币，而不是在 0.20 美元的价位，那会怎样？”他问道。
他强调，这些资金决策也展示了卡达诺去中心化治理带来的商业后果。项目方可以选择在竞争网络上运营，这意味着被拒绝的资金支持可能导致经济活动流向其他地方。“我们不再秉持‘优先且永远部署在卡达诺’的思维模式，”霍斯金森说道。
他补充道，作为卡达诺背后的开发公司，IOG 未来将越来越多地基于商业和技术考量来决定产品应在哪些平台上运行。卡达诺仍将是那些其架构具有优势的应用程序的首选平台，特别是在比特币 DeFi 和基于 UTXO 的应用场景中。
否认掌控权：治理后果需由社区承担
霍斯金森还驳斥了他因创立区块链而继续控制卡达诺的说法。他表示，自己没有任何投票权，也不控制其代码、商标或 Treasury 决策。“这是治理的后果，人们必须做出决策，显然我不掌权，我也不做这些决定。”他说。目前，他的重心已转向产品开发，而非试图亲自引导卡达诺的治理进程。
回顾今年 6 月，霍斯金森曾提议将卡达诺的治理讨论从 X 平台转移至经过审核的 Discord 社区，并建立一个协调一致的 DRep 投票联盟，以解决资金参与和投票率过低的问题。
尽管有上述观点，但截至发稿时，ADA 的价格仍较 2021 年 9 月创下的 3.10 美元历史高点下跌约 92.6%。数据显示，该加密资产当前交易价格为 0.2445 美元，过去 24 小时内上涨 8.35%。
