Dinari dShares：以保留权利为核心的代币化目标

The second initiative of KakaoPay and Ondo Finance initially focused on building a viable South Korean listed stock acquisition and custody framework, with tokenization seen as a potential next step.
In the described structure, KakaoPay will operate a comprehensive account for foreign investors to hold and manage underlying shares. This approach is designed to support how international investors can connect local share ownership while adapting the system to existing custody and management practices.
Both parties also plan to study token issuance and redemption mechanisms. They emphasized that when and whether Korean stock tokenization will be commercialized will depend on legal regulatory requirements in South Korean and overseas markets.
This "regulatory threshold" is a recurring feature of global tokenization securities efforts, but the emphasis on custody and operational readiness here marks a significant shift away from purely technical token experimentation to a greater focus on compliance, settlement integration and investor management as prerequisites for on-chain distribution.
South Korea's regulatory push constitutes background
KakaoPay's announcement comes as South Korea moves towards a formal regulatory framework for tokenized securities. In January this year, South Korea's National Assembly passed an amendment recognizing distributed ledger technology as an effective securities registry and allowing the issuance and circulation of token securities.
In early June this year, the Korea Financial Commission linked tokenized securities infrastructure to broader capital market reforms. The framework is scheduled to take effect in February 2027, while South Korea's securities depository is developing infrastructure aimed at connecting existing securities account systems with blockchain-based data.
