美国官员与致力于重新开放霍尔木兹海峡的调解人进行会晤后，美国总统唐纳德·特朗普预测，美国与伊朗的战争将在“非常短的时间内”结束。

Aragzi presented the proposal at the United Nations General Assembly in September. Under the terms he described, hostilities would cease until Iran reopens the strait and the two countries begin negotiations on Tehran's nuclear program. The plan also requires the United States to lift its maritime blockade, waive sanctions on Iranian oil, and release at least $12 billion in frozen Iranian assets.
Trump rejected the proposal on September 26. Previously, the two sides kept diplomatic channels open after its refusal, although differences put new pressure on Bitcoin. The proposal aims to use the Strait of Hormuz as a first step towards resolving remaining issues, including sanctions and Iran's nuclear activities.
According to the Financial Times, the mediator subsequently circulated a revised plan. Discussions included when Iran would resume passage through the Strait of Hormuz and when Washington would lift its blockade and other economic restrictions. The order of those steps remains a focus of controversy, while the United States seeks terms to resolve the Iranian nuclear issue.
Iran insists on economic demands, currency falls
Iranian officials will continue to link any solution to changes in U.S. economic and military measures. Aragzi said Tehran was willing to pursue a diplomatic solution; but Ibrahim Azizi, chairman of the Parliamentary Security Committee, questioned Trump's assertion that the war would end. At present, no party has announced that it has reached an agreement on a ceasefire or passage through the Strait of Hormuz.
