欧洲银行管理局将Circle的USDC稳定币归类为“重要”电子货币代币

欧洲银行管理局（EBA）已根据欧盟《加密资产市场法规》（MiCA）框架，将Circle发行的USDC稳定币归类为“重要”电子货币代币。该行在周三发布的公告中指出，获得这一分类的项目全球仅有45个。这意味着USDC稳定币将由EBA与法国审慎监管与解决管理局（ACPR）共同监管。

目前，USDC是市值第二大的稳定币，总市值约为730亿美元，而Tether的USDt市值则为1840亿美元。

此次将其列为“重要”代币之际，许多位于欧盟的稳定币发行商正积极呼吁在该地区推出受监管的美元挂钩稳定币。Stable Mint首席执行官詹姆斯·本内特向媒体表示，虽然欧洲无法“忽视”美元稳定币的存在，但监管机构可以制定相应的保障措施和发行规则进行管控。

AllUnity首席执行官亚历山大·赫普特纳指出：“对于希望在全球范围内进行跨境支付的欧洲企业而言，仅提供欧元稳定币是不够的。”

随着监管机构和发行商逐渐接纳美元稳定币，欧洲中央银行的决策者仍在探索引入数字欧元的可能性。该欧盟机构最早于2020年提出央行数字货币计划，若立法及试点项目顺利完成，有望在2029年正式发行。
