Aggressive's pledge volume hits a record high, with 58.8 million INJ tokens locked in
Aggressive officially announced that its pledge volume on its network has reached a record high. Currently, a total of 58.8 million $INJ tokens are locked in verifier nodes. This figure accounts for approximately 59% of the agreement's total fixed supply of 100 million pieces, which the project team calls one of the highest pledge ratios in the Layer-1 blockchain.
Significant growth since 2023
This milestone marks a huge change in network conditions compared to three years ago. Since approximately 42 million INJs entered the pledge status in September 2023, the pledge supply has continued to rise, with most of the increase occurring in the past few months. This rise reflects both the market's increased confidence in the network and the role of the structured incentives built into the agreement.
Aggressive is a Layer-1 blockchain specifically designed to support decentralized finance (DeFi) application development, covering application scenarios such as decentralized spot and derivatives exchanges, forecasting markets, and lending agreements.
INJ tokens are the core of the platform and are used for protocol governance, ensuring network security through pledges, motivating developers, and capturing the value generated by decentralized applications.
Impact of high pledge rates on the network
Users lock in INJ to ensure network security, while pledging tokens will reduce the circulation supply. A high proportion of pledge participation usually limits selling pressure. This dynamic is further strengthened by the agreement's destruction mechanism.
With the launch of INJ 2.0, all decentralized applications (dApps) on the network have contributed to the destruction mechanism. Now, the agreement can allocate up to 100% of the fee to the auction. In addition, the January 2026 supply tightening measures further increased destruction rates, making INJ one of the most positive deflationary proof-of-stake (PoS) tokens.
The growing pledge base has also attracted the attention of institutional investors. An ETF proposal proposed by Canary is designed to provide spot exposure and pledge income, but is subject to approval from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
Meanwhile, Revolut users have pledged more than 200,000 INJs, highlighting the growing interest in the network. As a result, Injective has become the largest proof-of-stake network for users accessing Revolut globally.
INJ holders delegate tokens to verifiers to ensure network security and earn pledge revenue. Compared to its market value, Injective maintains strong economic security.
