Wyoming $FRNT becomes the most transparent government-issued stablecoin in the United States.
@wyostable has adopted @Chainlink's proof of reserves mechanism to provide near-real-time on-chain verification for its $FRNT stablecoin, setting a new benchmark for the transparency of digital assets issued by the U.S. government.
As the first U.S. issuer of stable coins issued by a state government, the Wyoming Stability Tokens Commission announced that Wyoming has deepened its adoption of Chainlink to establish a new standard for reserve transparency.
$FRNT was launched in January this year, becoming the first state-issued stabilization token in the United States. It is backed by U.S. dollars and short-term U.S. Treasury bonds. Its reserve proceeds will be used to diversify Wyoming's state fiscal revenue and support its school foundation program.
In this integration, The Network Firm audits the reserves and token supply balances of $FRNT in accordance with the AICPA guidelines, while Chainlink's reserve certificate presents verified reserve data on the chain in a near real-time manner, building a more powerful safeguard model, eliminating blind spots between reporting periods, and allowing regulators, institutions and market participants to have a more timely understanding of the asset support of $FRNT.
Federal benchmarks that go beyond the GENIUS Act
The GENIUS Act sets important federal benchmarks for stablecoins transparency, requiring monthly disclosure of reserve composition and circulation supply, and an independent audit of month-end reports.
Wyoming has exceeded these requirements by publishing daily certificates on its website and adopting Chainlink reserve certificates, combining independent auditing with automated on-chain verification to further exceed its own existing best practice benchmarks.
The committee is also promoting the adoption of Chainlink's Proof of Reserves Safe Casting feature, which requires verified reserves to equal or exceed the total supply of $FRNT before new tokens can be minted. This feature is designed to help prevent infinite casting attacks and provide cryptographic guarantees to ensure that newly issued tokens are backed by reserves.
This latest move is based on Wyoming's decision last month to fully migrate $FRNT from LayerZero to Chainlink CCIP, making it the only cross-chain infrastructure after a security review.
Through this move, Wyoming provides a replicable blueprint for other states, government entities, financial institutions, and stablecoin issuers that want to deploy regulated digital assets on different blockchains while meeting strict operational security standards.
