Core Points
Chainlink fell back after briefly breaking through $15 and is currently hovering around $13.84. The uptrend line formed since August is currently in the low range of $13 and continues to provide support.
The network has launched CCIP 2.0, bringing enhanced security mechanisms and accelerated cross-chain transaction capabilities.
Chainlink exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in the U.S. market have total assets under management of approximately US$235 million, equivalent to approximately 17 million LINK tokens.
Technical analyst Don Wedge pointed out that a multi-year triangular pattern suggests potential upside potential up to $67.
Chainlink (LINK) Price Analysis
Chainlink (LINK) is currently trading at approximately US$13.84 after withdrawing from recent attempts to gain a foothold above US$15. Market participants continue to guard the upward trajectory formed since August.
Thetoken traded close to US$13.86 at the opening on October 6, with an intraday high rising to approximately US$13.92. During this period, prices remained relatively stable on a 24-hour benchmark.
The medium-term outlook has improved significantly compared to market conditions in the summer. LINK traded around $8 in August and then started a rally with rising lows. The upward move sent Chainlink breaking through the $10 -11 range and hitting the resistance ceiling between $14.50 and $15.00.
Key upper resistance of $15 challenges LINK's gains
14.50-15.00 The dollar range is the most significant obstacle under the current time frame. LINK briefly exceeded $15 in late September, but immediately encountered selling pressure, causing a price correction.
If the daily close can be effectively achieved to stabilize above US$15, this resistance will be eliminated and pave the way for further progress towards US$16. In terms of downside risks, the uptrend line established in August currently provides support in the low range of $13 and has absorbed recent selling pressure.
Below this level, the US$10.30 -10.80 area is the strongest support area-which is also the area LINK overcame during its August gains.
The momentum of technical indicators has slowed down, but it is still constructive. The relative strength index (RSI) reading on the daily chart is 56.00, above the neutral 50 threshold and not in overbought territory. The MACD indicator showed more caution, with the MACD line below the signal line and a negative histogram indicating a weakening of recent momentum after a rebound in September.
Network upgrades and institutional adoption
The network recently deployed CCIP 2.0, a major enhancement to the protocol that introduces a "cross-chain verifier" as an optional security mechanism. This feature allows institutional users to implement an additional layer of verification for cross-chain asset movements. The update also introduces a faster transfer speed than final confirmation, allowing users to better control transaction speed and confirmation timing.
Chainlink's oracle infrastructure continues to expand its influence. "Data Feed" is already operational on the Stellar network, and CCIP integration arrived on the Arc main network in September.
From an institutional adoption perspective, Bitwise's U.S. -based Chainlink exchange-traded funds have accumulated net inflows of approximately US$47 million, of which US$14 million has flowed in the past 30 days. The product experienced zero outflow days during this period.
Investors flocked to gain exposure to Chainlink's positions. The spot LINK ETF has just had its best week since August, absorbing a net inflow of $8.3 million in the past five trading days. What is impressive is that since its launch last year, the spot LINK ETF has only experienced two days of single-day net outflows, and this has occurred for only one week.
Macro Charts and Technical Outlook
As of October 5, the two monitored U.S. Chainlink investment vehicles jointly managed approximately US$235 million in assets, equivalent to approximately 17 million LINK tokens. Grayscale's products account for approximately $169 million, while Bitwise's CLNK products hold approximately $66 million.
Market analyst Don Wedge highlighted LINK's macro chart shape, identifying a five-year symmetrical triangle whose support line has been on an upward trend since 2019 and has provided momentum for a rebound in the near term. He pointed out that $18.4 is the first resistance level to be overcome, the upper boundary of the triangular decline; if the pattern completes a breakthrough, the target price is set at $67. He observed that the chart was approaching the apex of the triangle, which meant that a directional choice was imminent.
Summary
Chainlink remains at around US$13.84, and the upward structure at the daily level remains complete. Bulls must successfully protect the uptrend line and regain the US$14.50 -15.00 range to drive the next round of gains.
