Sui is another important step towards autonomous DeFi agents

AI agents gain restricted wallet access on Sui network

Sui network is further deepening into the field of autonomous on-chain operations by integrating Human Tech Wallet Protocol (WaaP). This architecture allows AI agents to directly operate wallets, but only within clearly defined ranges, ensuring that users retain ultimate control.

Architecture design based on multi-party computing

This protocol was built by Human Tech and supported by Ika Network to provide embedded wallet solutions for humans and their agents. Its architecture relies on Two-Party Computing (2PC) technology, which means that no single party (including Human Tech itself) can transfer funds unilaterally. The user's share of the key is retained locally, while the decentralized network processes the share of the co-signature in a zero-trust environment.

Ika co-founder Omer Sadika said: "The hardest part of agent payment is not the speed, but the authority. Software that acts on behalf of others requires restricted permissions rather than an omnipotent private key."

Gas abstraction and liquidity pool access through Cetus

A useful feature of this integration is Gas abstraction. Agents can use any token to recharge wallets and trade across chains without having to hold native fee tokens, eliminating common friction points in automated DeFi workflows.

On this basis, agents can enter the liquidity pool through Cetus Protocol, the leading decentralized exchange on the Sui network, and explore on-chain opportunities. Cetus uses a centralized liquidity market maker (CLMM) model that allows liquidity providers to allocate assets within specific price ranges, thereby improving capital efficiency.

Cross-chain orchestration and refinement policy configuration

The WaaP command-line interface (CLI) allows agents to orchestrate between EVM, Sui, and Solana, while developers can configure refinement policies through the SDK, including custom Webhooks to enhance security. The result is an authorized but automated layer of agents that can act independently without exposing full wallet control.

For Sui, this integration marks another concrete step for the network: in a network where software can implement DeFi policies in an autonomous manner and end-to-end within established guardrails.
