Dogecoin approaches key support level
Dogecoin is one of the most well-known memes in the cryptocurrency market. After falling significantly in recent trading days, it is currently hovering near a key support level. The latest trading price of the digital asset was US$0.06973, down 0.90% in the past 24 hours. The market value of Dogecoin is US$10.83 billion, and the daily trading volume is US$387 million.
Dogecoin approaches key support areas
After the recent selling pressure, many analysts and traders are paying close attention to Dogecoin for signs of potential recovery. As prices test lows near $0.067, some prominent figures in the trading community believe conditions may already have the potential to rebound. Closely watched trader Crypto Tony believes that there is an opportunity to rise at these levels, and if buyers respond, memein could usher in a short-term "mini bull market" phase.
Prices have consolidated near lows, and many traders now believe that an initial rebound may target resistance around US$0.075, and further momentum may extend into the US$0.079 -0.081 region. However, if support falls, prices could retest $0.067 or fall further to broader support below the region.
Key support: US$0.067 (recent low)
First resistance: US$0.075
Higher resistance: US$0.079 -0.081
Lower support: US$0.060 (if the decline continues)
If the seller regained control of the situation and pushed DOGE below US$0.067, the risk of further downward to US$0.060 cannot be ruled out.
Improved momentum, and short-term technical signals of buyers returning to
Dogecoin show some initial positive changes. Analyst CW observed that DOGE's upward momentum was moderately increasing, with early signs of net long buying reappearing. After a long period of weakness, the rise in long interest is seen by traders as a sign that a possible reversal or mitigating rally is in the making.
While these signs have not yet confirmed a major bullish reversal, they suggest that some traders are ready to plan a rally near current support levels.
Clearing events reset leverage
Another recent development noteworthy is a large-scale long liquidation. Another market observer, CW8900, emphasized that DOGE rebounded after clearing highly leveraged long positions. Market participants often view these events as opportunities to recalibrate positions because forced liquidations tend to eliminate excessive risk in the market.
DOGE managed to stave off further declines after the liquidation sweep and rebounded slightly-suggesting that at least some buyers stepped in after the leverage was lowered.
Monthly RSI is extremely oversold
From a long-term technical perspective, Dogecoin's monthly relative strength index (RSI) is at its lowest oversold level in history. Analyst Ash Crypto pointed out that DOGE is currently down about 90% from its all-time high and has just hit a three-year low near $0.067. Even compared to past cycle bottoms, oversold readings on the monthly RSI are particularly prominent, attracting the attention of traders who expect a possible bullish reversal or a strong easing rebound.
Extremely oversold levels on monthly charts are seen by many as a catalyst for potential short covering or recovery attempts, even if a broader reversal has not yet been confirmed.
Small Dictionary: RSI (Relative Strength Index)
RSI is a momentum indicator used to measure the speed and change of price changes and is usually used to identify overbought or oversold conditions in asset prices.
Long-term accumulation areas become focus
Looking at a larger time frame, cryptocurrency market analyst GalaxyBTC pointed out that there is a key historical support area for dogcoin in the US$0.067 -0.070 range. This area has served as an accumulation area in previous cycles. Holding above this range may maintain hopes of recovery, with the goal of regaining resistance levels such as $0.075-$0.080 and eventually reaching $0.10.
If momentum strengthens significantly, further breakthroughs could bring US$0.22 and US$0.73 resistance back into view, while a full-cycle rally would reignite speculation about the possibility of a return to US$1.00.
Levels of concern in the near future
Dogecoin's short-term prospects depend on its ability to maintain key support of US$0.067. If it fails to hold on to that level, DOGE may test $0.060, or even the broader support area near $0.055. On the upside, if the asset regains the resistance level of $0.075 and pushes it to $0.080 -0.082, short-term sentiment will strengthen. Continued buying beyond these levels could herald the beginning of a more lasting recovery.
