Kylie Jenner's account was suspected to have been hacked to promote Solana memein

Kylie Jenner's X account was reportedly hacked and used to promote a Solana (SOL)-based memein. The market value of the token was close to $1.19 million at one point, before falling by about 68%.

Key Points:

The deleted post directed fans to a Pump.fun profile page and shared a token contract address. The market value of the token reached US$1.19 million, but then fell back to approximately US$378,500. Multiple community accounts described the activity as a "suspected intrusion," but the report did not mention confirmation from Jenner or X platform.

Kylie Jenner's account was hacked

Jenner's account, whose account has 39.5 million followers, initially posted a post about the transaction and later directed users to a Pump.fun profile called "cutekJenner." The second post contained a token code and the Solana contract address. The two posts received approximately 50,000 and 33,000 views respectively before being deleted.

SolanaFloor described the account as a "suspected breach," and other community accounts also noticed the sudden change in tone. GeckoTerminal data cited by BeInCrypto shows that the token's market value on PumpSwap once reached US$1.19 million, but had dropped to approximately US$378,500 as of press time. The 24-hour trading volume of the token is US$6.1 million, with liquidity of approximately US$58,900, and approximately 3700 holders.

Counterfeit tokens quickly emerged. A Kyli-themed competing token has a market value of US$1.04 million and a transaction volume of US$6.72 million; other counterfeit tokens have a market value of between US$29,800 and US$370,300, and all have been online in less than 7 hours.

Solana Hacking Pattern

This incident shows that a large social media audience can quickly create instant liquidity for unverified tokens before users can confirm that promotional information is authentic. The reported hacking has not been independently confirmed.

This distinction is important because the speed of market activity far exceeds the speed at which Jenner or the X platform releases any formal explanation, and traders can only rely on deleted posts, online activity, and community warnings. SolanaFloor's assessment is based on suspicious promotion behavior rather than public confirmation by the account owner.

Similar account hijackings have also recently been used to promote short-lived memein. The attacker used SpaceX and Starlink accounts to promote one token in July and made a net profit of approximately $125,000;Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev's compromised account was linked to approximately $1.2 million through another token. This pattern predates the Jenner incident. Senator Cynthia Lummis's hacked account later promoted a fake token, and actor Dean Norris also denied promoting a token through his account in January 2025.
