Shiba Inu Exchange Inflows surge, and prices hit key support
Although short-term rebound attempts failed, Shiba Inu (SHIB) has witnessed a rebound in exchange capital inflows, which has led to a slightly bleak outlook for the token in the near term. On-chain data showed that the average inflow increased by 0.48% to 1.15 billion SHIBs, while the total inflow of exchanges increased by 0.65% to approximately 268.14 billion SHIBs.
Exchange fund flows show mixed market sentiment
Taking into account the latest changes in exchange fund flows, approximately 468 billion SHIBs were transferred to exchanges in the past 24 hours. This active trading activity suggests that traders may be quickly adjusting their positions, as tokens transferred to exchanges are generally considered ready to be traded or sold at any time.
However, on-chain data emphasizes that capital inflows alone do not necessarily mean that holders are about to sell. Capital outflows remain a key indicator and provide an important perspective on overall market behavior. The seven-day average exchange outflows jumped sharply by 62.69% to approximately 734.49 million SHIBs. At the same time, total exchange outflows climbed 1.77%, approaching 438.71 billion SHIBs. These figures show that while the number of SHIBs entering exchanges has increased, outflows have also increased significantly.
During the same period, exchange reserves fell 0.2% to 87.23 trillion SHIBs. The net flow indicator, which tracks the balance between inflows and outflows, recorded a negative change of approximately-170.57 billion SHIBs. This suggests that despite the increase in inflows, the net trend of token outflow from exchanges continues.
Price Movements and Technical Signals
SHIB's price response was limited, falling about 2%, trading close to US$0.0000515, having fallen below the short-term uptrend line formed since the August low. Prices are currently near the 20-day moving average, just above $0.0000517, and are facing the test of nearby support levels.
Key technical thresholds include a 50-day moving average near $0.0000494 and a 100-day moving average near $0.0000504. These support areas may receive special attention as traders weigh the risks of further pullbacks.
The momentum indicator also reflects market uncertainty. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) has slipped to around 49.7, returning to a neutral stance and slightly below its signal average. Recovering the US$0.0000540 - 0.0000550 range will restore some bullish short-term structure, but the 200-day moving average at around US$0.0000566 still poses significant resistance.
Market surveillance is crucial
Efficient market surveillance is becoming increasingly important in markets where factors such as Federal Reserve decisions or sudden altcoin listings can trigger immediate price fluctuations. Smart traders are turning to privacy-first tools that allow users instant access to real-time charts, smart alerts, specific token-specific updates and macroeconomic data in a unified interface without the need to create an account. This integration helps prevent delays and missed opportunities caused by managing multiple applications to meet different market needs.
Although the recent inflow of 468 billion SHIBs is noteworthy, there is currently no conclusive evidence of a large-scale sell-off from a broader area of exchange capital flows, price movements and technical support. The focus remains on whether SHIB can remain above the key moving average to avoid a deeper price decline.
