BitMEX founder Arthur Hayes: Flop Labs plans to launch testnet in October, and the main network is expected to launch in the first quarter of next year.

BitMEX co-founder Arthur Hayes announced that Flop Labs, the AI agent project of which he serves as CEO, plans to launch its testnet in October. Hayes said that after the test net phase is completed, the main net goal is to be officially launched in the first quarter of next year.

During the Token2049 event, Hayes shared detailed information about the development progress of Flop Labs. According to the announcement, the project's test network will be launched in October and will continue to operate for about 90 days.

During this period, users will have the opportunity to test Flop Labs infrastructure and participate in the project's pre-main network process. The test-net phase aims to evaluate the technical performance and user interaction experience of the project before it is officially launched on the main network.

Hayes pointed out that after completing a 90-day testing period, Flop Labs main network is scheduled to be deployed in the first quarter of next year. However, the specific date for the launch of the main network has not yet been announced.

In addition, Flop Labs will implement a token incentive program for testnet participants. According to Hayes, users who join the test network will be eligible for an airdrop reward for the project token FLOP.

However, the announcement did not disclose details such as the total allocation of FLOP tokens in this airdrop, the number of tokens received by each participant, and specific qualification requirements.

Flop Labs focuses on the field of artificial intelligence agents, and the launch of its testnet marks an important step in the project's open technology testing process. If it proceeds as planned, the project will be transferred to main network operation in the first quarter of next year after a 90-day test network phase.
