EDX Markets and Fireblocks have reached an integrated cooperation to help institutional customers efficiently manage digital assets.
On September 9, EDX Markets, a digital asset trading venue limited to institutions (with a central clearing mechanism) and Fireblocks, an enterprise-level digital asset security platform (which has guaranteed more than US$16 trillion in digital asset transactions), announced that the two parties have completed the integration of Fireblocks Network Link. This cooperation aims to simplify customers 'asset transfer and management processes.
Through this integration, Fireblocks customers can connect directly to EDX and leverage their existing workflows to transfer funds between trading venues. At the same time, EDX is committed to building its market into a world-class complex exchange with deep liquidity, stable quotes and low transaction costs.
Changes brought by integration
Fireblocks customers can now use their existing workflows to connect to EDX, allowing asset transfers, fund allocation between accounts, and liquidity rebalancing. The two companies said the move was aimed at addressing the challenges posed by the dispersion of liquidity pools, geographical areas, products and operating models. As regulated financial institutions gradually enter the digital asset space, this fragmentation often makes operations difficult. According to announcements issued by the two companies, the integration eliminates the need for separate workflows in different trading venues.
Why organizations need connected infrastructure
"Institutional adoption of digital assets requires infrastructure that supports the standards of speed and efficiency, which is exactly what mature companies expect in global financial markets." Tony Acuña-Rohter, CEO of EDX Markets, said,"By enabling Fireblocks Network Link, we are making it easier for customers to deposit or withdraw funds to EDX in their existing workflows."
EDX combines an institution-only trading venue with a central clearing mechanism and is supported by the world's leading trading firms and venture capital firms; Fireblocks secures more than US$16 trillion in digital asset transactions. In addition, EDX separates trading from clearing, a structure the company says minimizes risk to members while providing operational and capital efficiency.
Towards a deeper institutional infrastructure
In addition to trading capabilities, this integration also allows customers to fund accounts and rebalance liquidity when market conditions change, while maintaining greater control over digital assets. The collaboration reflects a broader trend of regulated trading venues building connected infrastructure, designed to reduce friction between trading, clearing and asset management, similar to other exchanges integrating Fireblocks for institutional cryptocurrency trading.
EDX said this change gives market participants greater flexibility to deploy funds and seize opportunities across the digital asset ecosystem.
