ZEC The ten-year high of ZEC exceeded US$1500, and the upgrade of NU7 main network accelerates privacy payments.
This week, the Zcash (ZEC) token price hit a ten-year high, and the transaction price once exceeded US$1500. This rise follows Zcash's official confirmation that it will launch an upgrade of the NU7 main network on November 5. The upgrade aims to triple the speed of online privacy payments.
Since its launch in 2016, Zcash has been positioned as the leading privacy-protecting cryptocurrency. It uses an encryption technology called "zero-knowledge proof" that allows users to hide details such as sender, recipient and transaction amount while ensuring that the network can verify the legitimacy of transactions. However, compared to transparent transactions, this technology has historically been accompanied by trade-offs of speed and computing costs. The NU7 upgrade is specifically designed to narrow this gap.
Privacy demand rebounds and market attention
This upgrade coincides with the return of widespread attention to privacy coins. With the enhancement of on-chain monitoring capabilities and the increased review of transparent blockchain transaction history, some users and institutions have begun to re-examine the value of transaction privacy, viewing it as an advantage rather than a burden.
