FollowingArizona regulators issue temporary cease and desist order against IVT Media Group and its founders
The Arizona Companies Commission's Securities Division issued a temporary cease and desist order against Christopher Michael Maxon (aka Chris Maxon) and his company IVT Media Group LLC on October 2. The action accuses them of violating the Arizona Securities Act by providing and selling unregistered securities to the public.
According to the committee's announcement, this enforcement action is targeted at the initial token issuance of "Iron Vault Tokens"(IV-SOL for short). Regulators described the project as being promoted as a "risk-free investment" that promises to provide "permanently generated returns" and was launched as a three-phase stablecoin project.
Suspected unregistered sales
The Securities Department pointed out that Maxson and IVT Company conducted fundraising activities from investors in Arizona without being qualified to provide or sell investment products in that state. The offering bundles IV-SOL tokens with royalties and real estate acquisition proceeds, and markets them with "risk-free opportunities" as a selling point. It is planned to launch on October 1, 2026.
The regulatory authority's order document describes token sales, royalty rights and real estate acquisition gains as three separate stages of a single stablecoin issuance. IVT is a limited liability company registered in Wyoming with offices in Glendale and Peoria, Arizona. Maxson claims to be the company's founder and CEO.
