OpenSea integrates cross-chain data into Perplexity computers, and AI agents can query transaction dynamics in real time.
OpenSea has integrated its cross-chain market data with Perplexity computers, allowing the AI agent to answer questions about token and NFT trading activities based on real-time data covering more than 25 blockchains.
Summary
OpenSea integrated its market data into Perplexity computers, allowing AI agents to obtain real-time on-chain activity information on more than 25 chains. Perplexity can use OpenSea data to answer questions about high-volume tokens, popular collectibles and other market activities, and indicate the source of the data. The connector covers tokens, NFTs and collectibles, and users can inquire about related activities based on online sales. OpenSea said the integration is part of its plan to open up market data to AI products outside the platform.
OpenSea grants Perplexity access to market data on the real-time chain
With this connector enabled, Perplexity computers can obtain information directly from OpenSea when performing multi-step tasks. The integration covers homogeneous tokens, collectibles and NFTs, and allows AI platforms to reference OpenSea's underlying data in responses. Users can ask which tokens are most actively traded during a specific period of time, or which assets are attracting the attention of traders and collectors. Perplexity will use OpenSea data to provide answers based on current market activity rather than just relying on token price information.
The companies said this setting allows Perplexity to access user buying, selling and transaction data on OpenSea's supported networks. OpenSea currently provides more than 25 chains of data, providing AI agents with a single source of information across multiple blockchain ecosystems.
"The on-chain market is inherently built for AI agents-everything is open, real-time and verifiable," said Devin Finzer, co-founder and CEO of OpenSea. He added that users are already curious about what is happening on the chain, and this integration allows Perplexity computers to use marketing activities to answer those questions.
Perplexity computers are designed to complete multi-step tasks and provide answers with sources attached. Integrate OpenSea into its available data sources and extend this model to on-chain transaction information.
"The on-chain market is changing too fast for static answers to meet demand," said Jeff Grimes, product leader of real-time events at Perplexity. He added that OpenSea's cross-chain data allows users to query token and collectibles activity and get real-time answers based on current market transactions.

OpenSea has surpassed NFT transactions
The partnership with Perplexity is one of a series of changes as OpenSea expands from a business originally known as the NFT market into a wider area. In June this year, it was reported that OpenSea was preparing to use Hyperliquid infrastructure to launch perpetual contract transactions. Zack Brenner, head of product marketing at OpenSea, once asked users on X who wanted to experience perpetual contracts in advance. When another user asked if Hyperliquid would provide support, Brenner replied "Yes."
At the time, OpenSea had not announced the product's launch date, complete list of supporting assets or user terms. The plan means that as OpenSea expands its trading services from spot tokens and NFTs to other areas, the market will leverage Hyperliquid infrastructure to provide perpetual contract trading.
This plan is in line with OpenSea's long-term vision of a "one-stop trading platform." OpenSea takes a bigger step with OS2-a comprehensive upgrade that integrates homogeneous tokens and NFT transactions on multiple networks. The platform aims to reduce the trouble of users switching between different applications when trading different types of assets on the chain.
This expansion follows OpenSea's announcement of plans for its native token SEA in February 2025. The OpenSea Foundation said historical market activity will affect token allocation and U.S. users will also be eligible to participate. Subsequently, the company postponed the launch of the SEA in March 2026, which Finzer attributed to the harsh market environment. SEA originally planned to play an important role in OpenSea's long-term trading platform, involving practicality, governance and incentive functions related to ecological activities. When postponing the token, OpenSea did not announce a new launch date.
AI has long been integrated into OpenSea product planning
OpenSea has incorporated AI into its own product roadmap before opening up market data to external AI agents. In September 2025, the company launched an AI-driven mobile product, and also adjusted the reward program and SEA token program. The mobile move is part of OpenSea's attempt to integrate multiple encryption activities into the same product. Its product expansion has allowed the company to move from NFT-centric markets to tokens, mobile transactions and other on-chain services.
Two months ago, OpenSea acquired Rally Wallet to strengthen its mobile and token trading businesses. Rally is a mobile-first wallet for NFTs and tokens, and OpenSea plans to integrate it into its product suite. At that time, OS2 supported transactions across 19 blockchains, with cross-chain capabilities and real-time liquidity aggregation. The latest Perplexity collaboration shows that OpenSea market data covers more than 25 chains.
Under the new collaboration, when Perplexity computers answer questions about market activity, OpenSea's data will be used outside of its own applications. The company said it expects more such integrations in the future as AI agents play an increasingly important role in users 'interactions with the crypto market.
