XRP ledgers set a new record: 2,768 transactions were processed in a single ledger

Hussein Zangana (net name Vet), community director of the XRP ledgers Foundation, recently paid attention to the new record set by the XRP ledgers network. He reported on social media platform X that the ledger successfully processed 2,768 transactions in a single ledger cycle, marking an important milestone in network performance.

Network performance has attracted attention

Vet emphasized that the XRP ledger network has easily responded to this surge in transaction volume, highlighting its faster transaction speeds and lower fees compared to other public blockchains. He pointed out that these features make XRP ledgers extremely attractive to organizations seeking scalable organization-level solutions.

Recent activity shows that multiple ledgers process more than 2,000 transactions continuously at extremely short intervals. Vet described the transaction frequency as "impressive" and pointed out that the network maintains a stable consensus mechanism, with each ledger closing time only taking 3.8 seconds.

Vet wrote: "Too slow, setting a new record for XRP for a single ledger transaction: 2,768 transactions processed in one ledger, which is as easy as eating a snack." One image he shared demonstrated the system's ability to effectively cope with this high load, as demonstrated by stable consensus and rapid book closures.

Analysis of Recent Trading Patterns

Most of these transactions are identified as "1-drop" transactions, that is, they flow through a ring structure between 20 accounts. Vet explained that these transactions appear to be part of a "detection layer" involving automated robots interacting with the network simultaneously.

He directly advised node operators, reminding them that if they encounter a "1008 policy error" when trying to pull large amounts of data, they should consider increasing the message size limit for WebSocket transaction subscription connections. "If you encounter a 1008 policy error while pulling data from a node, you may need to increase the message size limit on your WebSocket transaction subscription connection," Vet advises.

Vet also commented that understanding the motives behind these detection transactions may be of interest to people monitoring online activity.

Future innovations in identity authentication and protocol enhancements

In a separate post, Vet predicts that XRP ledgers will continue to grow demand for Zero Knowledge Identity solutions. He pointed to upcoming amendments, such as Credentials (XLS-70) and Decentralized Identity (XLS-40), as key developments. Vet pointed out that confidential identity functions are likely to become an important feature beyond traditional blockchain funds and value transfer purposes.

Explanation of terms:

XLS-70 and XLS-40: These two proposed amendments to XRP ledgers introduce credential management and decentralized identity functions respectively. The XLS-70 provides a framework for verifying credentials, while the XLS-40 implements on-chain privacy-protected authentication.

Currently, a proposal on confidential identities is under discussion to be added to the ledger as a potential future feature, which is of great significance to blockchain innovations that focus on privacy protection.

Protocol reinforcement and new amendments launched

In another major development, the "fixCleanup3_3_0" amendment recently came into effect on the XRP ledger. The upgrade to the agreement focuses on improving core functions, including single asset vaults, lending agreements, automated market makers (AMM), licensed decentralized exchanges (DEX), checks and fake accounts.

Explanation of terms:

Single asset vault, AMM and licensed DEX: These are the features of the XRP ledger used for asset storage, automated trading and compliant exchange functions designed to enhance the security, flexibility and regulatory compliance of financial activities along the chain.

The series of fixes introduced with fixCleanup3_3_0 aim to enhance the resilience and operational efficiency of the network in various critical systems.
