BABYDOGE 
LMWR BabyDoge acquires LimeWire to build a token community of more than 3 million people
The brand with 8 million monthly users has now joined a token community of more than 3 million members. BabyDoge has officially acquired LimeWire, which defined the era of file sharing in the early 2000s.
The agreement was announced on September 14, and the parties did not disclose specific financial terms.
Successor Czupor takes over operations
Brothers Julian and Paul Zehetmayr have stepped down as heads of LimeWire, and Abel Czupor will take over operational control of the platform.
The brothers previously bought LimeWire's intellectual property and relaunched it in 2022, transforming it into a music-focused non-homogeneous token (NFT) market where fans can trade limited editions, unreleased demos and digital peripherals.
"The goal of the next chapter is to expand this foundation to a wider audience and community." The Zehetmayr brothers said they believed Czupor and Baby Doge could continue to work on this basis.
Czupor points out that the platform reaches 8 million users per month, while BabyDoge claims its ecosystem covers more than 3 million people.

LMWR代币将继续存在。BabyDoge自有代币不会取代它，作为LimeWire服务（如支付去中心化文件存储费用及使用AI工具）的功能性代币仍为LMWR。
Czupor将BabyDoge描述为平台独立性的“DAO式支持者”，而非传统的母公司。
主要代币价格表现低迷
BABYDOGE较2024年12月峰值下跌94%
LMWR在一周内下跌19.4%，自2026年初以来累计下跌64.3%。
BABYDOGE本周下跌11.2%，年初至今下跌42.7%。这款模仿Dogecoin特性推出的模因币（Meme Coin）于2021年上线，曾在2021年7月埃隆·马斯克发文提及后单日暴涨228.3%。
Currently, its price is down about 94% from its December 2024 peak, and its market value is approximately US$64.21 million, ranking 308th on CoinMarketCap.
The historical trajectory of LMWR also shows a similar decline trend. The token hit a 25-week high of $0.47 in late 2023, when the price was only around $0.05 at the beginning of the year, and then fell back as the NFT and memin markets cooled down.
