HYPE Hyperliquid announced revenue of US$429 million to date in 2026, and HYPE tokens hit a record high.
Hyperliquid, a decentralized perpetual contract exchange, disclosed this week that its revenue of US$429 million to date in 2026. The release of this financial data coincides with the platform's native token HYPE hitting a record high of nearly US$95, while the platform's monthly active addresses also set a new record.
Direct pegging mechanism for revenue to token value
For HYPE's price, this revenue data has a more direct impact than general exchange tokens. This is because Hyperliquid uses part of its trading revenue to repurchase and destroy HYPE tokens from the open market, thereby reducing the circulation supply over time. This mechanism closely ties the value of the token to the actual business performance of the exchange.
It is worth noting that this correlation can be verified through data that is independent of the company's own reports. On-chain analytics platforms, including DefiLlama, use public blockchain data to track agreement revenue and transaction volume of decentralized exchanges, rather than relying solely on self-reported data, providing a transparent basis for verification.
