Through the FOCIL mechanism, Ethereum aims to make it more difficult for block producers to exclude transactions, thereby reducing users 'reliance on a single entity. This focus highlights Ethereum's determination to withstand censorship and become more robust.
The upcoming amendment also focuses on enhancing cybersecurity. The planned optimization of the consensus mechanism aims to consolidate Ethereum's infrastructure and ensure its status as a stable and secure platform. Butrin emphasized that changes led by FOCIL and other measures will strengthen the network's ability to confront transaction censorship and strengthen its security framework.
Butrin's recent discussion suggests that the development of Ethereum is not limited to capacity expansion, but is also turning to tapping the potential of cryptography to support new applications.
