XRP Ripple CEO: The cryptocurrency industry will continue to progress regardless of whether the Clarity Act is passed
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse said that regardless of whether the Clarity Act is passed by Congress, the cryptocurrency industry will continue to grow. His remarks were made at a digital asset policy event in Kansas City. Galinghouse urged lawmakers to take action while expressing confidence in the industry's resilience.
The fate of the Clarity Act in the Senate is full of uncertainty
The highly anticipated Clarity Act, a milestone in crypto market structure legislation, is facing a key procedural vote in the U.S. Senate. The proposal requires 60 votes to move forward, but the current vote shows supporters lack the enough support they need.
The Republican Party currently has 53 seats in the Senate, so at least seven Democrats or independents are needed to push the bill through. In response to relevant concerns, negotiators revised the text of the bill, claiming that the latest version had incorporated 126 major amendments proposed by Democrats.
Despite these efforts, several Democratic senators said the new text did not fully address their concerns. The Senate is scheduled to vote at 2:15 p.m. EST to decide whether to move forward with the bill, putting the legislative process at a critical juncture.

自2017年起担任Ripple首席执行官的布拉德·加林豪斯表示支持《Clarity法案》，但他认为该法案的命运不应被视为决定行业生死的关键因素。Ripple成立于2012年，为全球支付提供基于区块链的解决方案。

尽管支持者仍抱有希望，但大多数人承认，除非出现突破，否则该法案可能无法在本届国会会期内通过。
加林豪斯保持乐观态度，他表示，数字资产技术在面对立法障碍时屡次证明了自己的生命力。
