Deutsche Bank is about to provide cryptocurrency custody services to corporate customers

As global adoption of cryptocurrencies continues to spread, Deutsche Bank, Germany's largest bank, has announced plans to launch cryptocurrency custody services for its corporate customers later this year.

Service Scope and Regulatory Requirements

Deutsche Bank said in an official statement that it is preparing to provide digital asset custody services to its corporate customers in Europe. According to the statement, the service will be open to the first batch of customers after completing the necessary regulatory processes. However, the bank emphasized that a specific launch date has not yet been determined and that the launch of the service depends on meeting relevant regulatory requirements.

Digital assets supported by

According to Deutsche Bank, the service will initially support Bitcoin and Ethereum, as well as some stablecoins, including USDC, EURC and EURAU. However, the bank said it may expand its coverage of supported digital assets in the future.

Under the new system, Deutsche Bank will manage wallets and private keys on behalf of customers. This will eliminate the need for institutional customers to build and operate their own internal cryptocurrency custody infrastructure. In addition, customers can also transfer their stored digital assets to third parties.

Target Audience
