XRP XRP is back in focus: A 6.5% rebound pushed prices to US$1.50, and two analysts have very different views on the outlook.
After a strong 6.5% rebound, XRP prices were pushed to around US$1.50 today. The recovery of this coin has also attracted the attention of two well-known market analysts, although they have very different views on the target price of XRP.
Senior trader Peter Brandt released a long-term XRP chart suggesting an eventual rise to $5.40. At the same time, cryptocurrency analyst Ali Martinez pointed out that reported hoarding by large whales and on-chain data have focused on $1.60, believing this is the next major area where sellers may appear.
These two forecasts tell different sides of the same story: XRP has recovered in the short term, but still faces significant technical obstacles before the higher goals set by Brandt take effect.
Peter Brandt's XRP chart points to the final $5.40 target
In a post on X, Brandt shared his long-term XRP chart and wrote that it implied an eventual rise to $5.40. He also made an important distinction: Publishing charts or making market judgments is not the same as executing a trade. Brandt believes that anyone claiming to have traded a particular market should provide evidence rather than using X posts as proof.
His chart uses monthly XRP price data, so this is a long-term technical outlook rather than a forecast for the next few trading sessions.
The most eye-catching feature is the extensive integration structure that spans several years. A downtrend line connects major historical highs, while a rising lower boundary outlines long-term support for XRP. Together, the two depict a market that went through years of compression before rising sharply in late 2024 and early 2025.
Recently, XRP has fallen back from the top of the structure. The chart shows prices at approximately $1.49, below the orange 18-month moving average of approximately $1.88 and the shorter-term moving average.
This is important because the recent rebound has not repaired the broader monthly trend. XRP needs to recover nearby upper resistance levels and build a stronger monthly closing performance to support a continued recovery.
Brant's chart also marks resistance in the pre-trading range above $3 and a higher horizontal boundary near $4. These are meaningful obstacles in the process of moving towards its stated $5.40 target.
At the $1.50 level, a rise to $5.40 means about 260% upside. However, Brant did not specify when that goal would be reached, and his chart did not establish signs that such a rebound was imminent.
Ali Martinez says XRP whales have accumulated more than $2 billion
While Brant focuses on the long-term structure of XRP, Ali Martinez is reviewing what may happen next.
