BTC Sequans Communications，彻底退出比特币战略
在纽约证券交易所（NYSE）上市的芯片制造商 Sequans Communications 已完全退出其比特币持有策略。该公司出售了资产负债表上剩余的最后一批 34 枚比特币，目前不再持有任何加密货币资产。
管理层表示，这一决定并非出于对比特币的负面看法，而是与减少债务和回归核心业务领域的计划密切相关。至此，Sequans 完成了自今年年初开始的逐步退出比特币的过程。此前，公司曾宣布将随着时间的推移逐步出售剩余资产。
Sequans 为何出售比特币？
在退出比特币战略的过程中，Sequans 的首要任务是增强资产负债表实力。今年5月，该公司利用部分 BTC 资产全额清偿了于2025年7月到期的可转换债券。当时，公司手中持有约 658 枚比特币。

Sequans 曾持有多少比特币？
Sequans 'Bitcoin position completely disappeared within a few months. At the beginning of the year, the company held hundreds of bitcoins; in May, the company used some of its assets to repay debt. At the end of June, the reserve fell to 314 pieces and returned to zero at the end of September.
This process suggests that Sequans is phasing out its Bitcoin strategy. With the sale of the last 34 bitcoins, the company no longer holds any cryptocurrency assets on its balance sheet.
At the same time, the company also achieved growth in its main business. Sequans announced that product revenue increased more than 80% year-on-year in the second quarter, and that six-month product order inventory also more than tripled. These data explain why management has refocused on the chip business.
Are other companies also selling Bitcoin?
Sequans is not the only listed company to reduce Bitcoin assets. Satsuma Technologies also ended its Bitcoin treasury structure and sold its assets. Emperor Digital sold approximately 1,400 bitcoins for US$87 million during the year.
However, the Strategy presents a different situation. The company broke its long-standing buy-oriented strategy over the summer and sold bitcoin multiple times, but resumed buying at the end of August and bought BTC last week.
Strive took the opposite action. The company did not sell Bitcoin this year, but instead accelerated the pace of purchases. Strive reached a position of 25,000 bitcoins in early September and purchased an additional 1,355 bitcoins last week.
