- US$87,363: peak reached at the end of September.
- US$86,700: Direct resistance points to some analysts.
- US$82,500: Major consolidation support.
- US$79,500: Area where the 50-day, 100-day and 200-day moving averages meet.
The opening price at the beginning of the year represents an important level of psychological resistance. If Bitcoin continues to break through, it will smooth out the decline since the beginning of the year; conversely, if it fails again, it may continue to consolidate between $82,500 and $87,000.
Analyst Rekt Capital concluded: "Bitcoin is trapped between key support at $82,500 and resistance around $86,700." This range must be broken before new short-term trends can be established.
Bitcoin prices still lack aggressive buyers
Chain data shows that buying pressure has eased since the recovery began in mid-September. The dominance of active buyers is declining, while long-term holders continue to take profits from their current positions.
Glassnode pointed out: "This behavior reflects a weakening of aggressive bullish momentum, but it does not signal an immediate trend reversal or structural exhaustion." This nuance remains important: Buyers are indeed slowing down, but the data has not yet confirmed the beginning of a deep correction.
The minutes of the September Federal Reserve meeting released on October 7 will be the next big event. Investors will seek details about the path of interest rates and the level the central bank considers neutral.
Analysts at Deutsche Bank said: "The highly unstable bond market makes it particularly important to communicate with the Federal Reserve about the upcoming release of US data." According to them, these minutes will carry more weight than usual due to the recent rise in yields.
Subsequently, September U.S. inflation data will be released on October 14. A higher-than-expected data could reignite the risk of monetary tightening and hold Bitcoin below $87,570; lower inflation would ease the pressure, but there is no guarantee of a certain breakthrough.
As a result, the weekly close confirmed the market's improvement, but has not yet verified a sustained recovery. Bitcoin must now convert the $87,000 area into support while maintaining a $82,500 line of defense against any potential retracements.
