XRP Technical analyst ChartNerd: If XRP rises to $1000, I will cancel my account.
Technical analyst ChartNerd (@ChartNerdTA) launched a bold announcement on social media. He said he was "very confident" that if the price of $XRP reached $1000, he would delete his X account. This statement attracted widespread attention, and dozens of members from the XRP community responded one after another.
This declaration is particularly eye-catching given ChartNerd's past position. He has long publicly rejected extreme XRP price forecasts and used market capitalization logic to refute outrageous targets of up to $100,000. His position remains unchanged despite continued rebuttal by many enthusiastic fans who believe these goals can be achieved.
Analysts 'firm view
ChartNerd has always held this position and challenged the most influential voices in the XRP community. Many people agree with him because XRP has a circulating supply of 63 billion coins. If the unit price of XRP reaches US$1000, its total market value will exceed half of global GDP. No asset in history has the value of such a staggering number.
The analyst also quoted his previous prediction in his reply. He made an accurate prediction a week before XRP fell below $1 in August. He said he "acted based on data" and chart analysis helped him form the right market outlook at the beginning of the year.
He admitted that the bet was not foolproof and said he was willing to accept the possibility of mistake. But he stressed that he was confident in his work. Accurate forecasts earlier this year reinforced his confidence, and although he set a bullish target for XRP, he did not believe the $1000 target was realistic.
Reaction from the XRP community
Responding to his post, readers responded to mixed. One commentator advised caution, pointing out that ChartNerd would not be able to fully understand the situation unless it had information from the highest decision-making levels. Although the commentator admitted that the possibility of XRP rising to $1000 was extremely low, he believed that unknown variables made this absolute bet risky.
Another commenter said that if XRP does rise to $1000, he will also cancel his account and joke that he will buy a van to travel around the world. ChartNerd responded enthusiastically, asking the market participant to take him on a trip.
When asked if he thought XRP would not rise to $1000 or if he thought it would never reach that level, ChartNerd clarified his position, writing: "Never." The analyst did not change his view. He continues to apply the same framework to look at extreme goals and makes stakes more personal.
