Ethereum Price Analysis: Daily Chart Perspective

Ethereum is trying to transform the consolidation after the rebound into a continuous upward pattern. Currently, prices are still compressed near the upper end of the range. If a continuous breakthrough is achieved, it will lay the foundation for the next round of bullish markets. However, recent false breakthroughs triggered by the impact of consumer price index (CPI) data have also highlighted the importance of confirmation signals.

At the daily level, Ethereum continues to hold the significant gains it gained from its explosive breakthrough in August. More importantly, despite repeated testing of the $2,430 to $2,520 area, there has been no meaningful correction, indicating that sellers have so far failed to force prices back into the lower support area.

The current consolidation is in the resistance zone of US$2,450 to US$2,520, and Ethereum is now trading around US$2,520. A strong daily break and close above this region will strengthen the bullish structure and open up room for further gains. In this case, the next major resistance visible on the chart is in the $2,920 to $3,030 range.

However, the market still needs to establish a solid position above this resistance level. If this cannot be done, Ethereum will face the risk of fluctuating within the range again. The next important daily support area below is $2,050 to $2,140, while the moving average is also gradually moving higher below prices.

Ethereum/USDT 4-hour chart analysis

The 4-hour chart more clearly shows recent breakthrough attempts. Ethereum has fluctuated mainly between US$2,350 and US$2,560 in the past few weeks, repeatedly refusing to touch the upper and lower boundaries, and has not formed a sustained directional movement.

The latest CPI fluctuations briefly pushed prices above the range high of $2,560, with the shadow extending to around $2,660. However, buyers failed to maintain the breakthrough trend, and Ethereum quickly returned to the inside of the structure. This false breakthrough is crucial because it shows that just trading above the range is not enough. The market needs to stand firm above the $2,560 resistance level to confirm a true structural breakthrough.

Despite this, Ethereum has once again recovered upward of the border, rather than experiencing severe rejection. If buyers can establish acceptance above $2,560, the consolidation could turn into another bullish trend.

Conversely, if there is another rejection, the integrity of the range will be maintained and the support area of US$2,430 to US$2,450 will be exposed first. A clearer break at the bottom of the range near $2,350 would weaken the continuity scenario and attention could shift to the support area of $2,220 to $2,270.

Sentiment Analysis

The 90-day Spot Taker CVD tracks the cumulative difference between market orders and sell orders. A positive increase in CVD indicates dominant active buying, while a negative decline in readings reflects stronger active selling pressure.

The latest data shows a clear green turn, indicating that active buyers are once again dominant after relatively neutral conditions in July and early August. This shift has accompanied Ethereum's recovery towards the $2,500 region, so it constitutes a positive signal for the current consolidation.

If the proactive buying advantage persists and Ethereum stands firm above range resistance, this combination will provide a stronger confirmation that demand is supporting another round of bullish movements. Conversely, a loss of this buyer's dominance, especially with another failed breakthrough, suggests that aggressive demand is not enough to sustain the rally.
