AVAX AI agents may cause Layer 1 capacity bottlenecks, Avalanche CEO warns
Avalanche Treasury CEO Bart Smith said that as the automated finance sector expands, AI agents may run out of available blockchain space. AVAX prices edged up about 3.7% after the news, trading close to $7.58 as investors assess the network's long-term prospects.
Smith expects that software-driven trade, payments and position management will generate continued on-chain demand. He also predicted that traditional financial markets are expected to achieve a 24-hour trading model, 7 days a week, by mid-2027.
AI agents may make Layer 1 capacity a watershed in competition.
Smith points out that even low-end adoption forecasts may challenge the assumption that "block space is effectively unlimited." The software can conduct transactions without interruption, without sleep, manual approval, or being limited to market trading hours.
He did not give a specific transaction volume estimate or an exact date for the blockchain capacity shortage. As a result, this forecast relies more on widespread financial sector adoption than on current network congestion.

此外，韩国韩华投资证券（Hanwha Investment and Securities）也完成了支持 Avalanche 的平台搭建。韩国计划于 2027 年 2 月启动其受监管的代币化证券框架。
数据显示，Avalanche 在 7 月份托管了价值 21 亿美元的分布式代币化现实世界资产。Bridgetower 表示，它使用 Chainlink 基础设施在该网络上安置了超过 110 亿美元的生产关联资产。
Smith 领导的纳斯达克上市公司 Avalanche Treasury 在其 6 月首次亮相时持有约 1500 万枚 AVAX。这些部署展示了机构的兴趣，但尚不足以证明 Smith 关于容量的预测。AI 智能体需要持续的使用，才能将周期性活动转化为结构性的拥堵。
