As one of the most outspoken advocates of Bitcoin, Wood responded strongly to the host's criticism. "Bitcoin is not a dead cat, Jason! It still has many lives in the future."
She also took the opportunity to share the latest issue of ARK Invest's "Bitcoin Brainstorm" podcast program aired on September 17, which focused on the integration of artificial intelligence and Bitcoin.
Experts discuss how AI can reshape the Bitcoin security landscape
In the latest "Bitcoin Brainstorm" program, Wood discussed with Lorenzo Valente, director of digital assets research at ARK, Rod Roudi, founder of Bitcoin Park, Rob Hamilton, co-founder and CEO of AnchorWatch, Seth for Privacy, chief operating officer of Cake Wallet and Radar, and Dhruv Bansal, co-founder and chief strategy officer of Unchained. It explores in depth how the rapidly developing AI model has changed the security of Bitcoin.
Experts point out that AI technology is becoming more powerful and less costly, and open source weighting models are becoming increasingly popular. Unlike closed AI models, the open source weighting model means that the final trained parameters (or "weights") are open to the public, and anyone can download, run and fine-tune them on their own hardware.
Wood emphasized that the combination of domain expertise and AI is invincible because programmers are willing to coordinate AI to discover system vulnerabilities. She explained that while attackers do use AI to crack systems, defenders can also use the technology to make systems more resilient to vulnerabilities.
She admitted that in the face of the threat of quantum computing, as an investor, witnessing the flow of funds from the Bitcoin whale was indeed disturbing. But she said the company's research had allayed those concerns.
The AI era will accelerate GDP growth and trigger deflation, and Bitcoin will become a new safe haven.
Wood also pointed out that the AI era will be extremely productive and efficient, and will accelerate GDP growth to 7%-8%, but this will also lead to deflation. In this case, prices will fall, but interest rates will rise.
The rise in short-term interest rates could surprise institutions that rely heavily on short-term debt, such as private equity firms and banks. She believes that this situation creates counterparty risk, meaning that the company you do business with could go bankrupt.
This is where Bitcoin comes into play. The CEO of ARK Invest said that most people view Bitcoin as a hedge against inflation, but even if deflation occurs, it will not be a bad thing for the cryptocurrency. She argued that traditional markets rely on banking institutions with counterparty risk, which Bitcoin does not present due to its decentralized nature.
Market Trends and Price Review
It is worth noting that Wood cleared approximately $40 million of its own Bitcoin ETF, the ARK21 Shares Bitcoin ETF (CBOE: ARKB), on September 14, a day before the U.S. Senate CLARITY bill cloture vote.
As of writing, according to Decibel's data, the Bitcoin transaction price was US$81,773. The current price is 35% lower than its all-time high of US$126,080 set on October 6, 2025.
