ZETA token holders have overwhelmingly voted to end ZetaChain's Layer 1 blockchain and move to the Solana ecosystem.
Governance Proposition 68 received a support rate of 99.4%, with a voting participation rate of 58%, exceeding the 40% quorum threshold.
ZETA tokens will be converted to Solana SPL tokens in a 1:1 ratio, keeping the current code and total supply caps unchanged.
Another round of governance voting is needed to determine the height of the snapshot block, migration schedule, and final shutdown procedures.
Project Founder redirected resources to Anuma, an AI platform focused on privacy protection with more than 300,000 active users.
Plan to migrate ZETA tokens to Solana
ZetaChain community members have made a decisive decision to stop the project's stand-alone Layer 1 blockchain infrastructure and migrate ZETA tokens to the Solana ecosystem. According to data from the ZetaChain governance platform, Proposition 68 was passed on Sunday, with a vote of 99.4%. The vote attracted 58% participation among eligible token holders, comfortably exceeding the minimum quorum requirement of 40%.
This decision marks a major shift in the strategic direction of the project. ZetaChain received US$27 million in financial support in 2023 to develop cross-chain interoperability solutions.
The approved framework requires the use of the SPL token standard to transform ZETA into native tokens on the Solana network. Existing ZETA holders will receive equivalent tokens on Solana through a direct 1:1 redemption mechanism. The token code symbol and maximum supply volume will remain consistent with current specifications. All established token attribution arrangements will be seamlessly transferred to the new chain, and their original conditions will not change.
ZETA tokens currently circulating on Ethereum and BNB Chain are not within the scope of this governance decision. The vote mainly related to native ZETA holdings and the operating status of the ZetaChain Layer 1 network. It should be noted that the adoption of this proposal will not immediately trigger a shutdown or token migration. A subsequent round of governance voting will be required to determine the specific block height for recording the final balance, designate the final shutdown block, and provide users with detailed procedures for receiving Solana tokens.
ZetaChain representatives stated that this follow-up vote will not be advanced until major cryptocurrency exchanges confirm their technical solutions to facilitate token conversions. During the transition period before the shutdown process is finally approved, the pledge function will continue to operate normally. The team has not yet announced specific plans for how the pledge mechanism or reward allocation will work after migrating to Solana.
Strategic focus shifts to the Anuma AI platform

根据提案文件，维持独立网络需要验证者之间持续协调，以实施软件升级和部署关键的安全更新。迁移完成后，Solana 现有的验证者基础设施将接管保障原生 ZETA 代币安全的责任，取代 ZetaChain 当前的独立验证者网络。
ZetaChain 指出，Solana 的高速交易处理能力、极低的费用结构、强大的流动性环境以及不断扩展的 AI 代理基础设施，是推动此次迁移决策的主要因素。
短期内，ZetaChain 的 Layer 1 网络、质押基础设施以及原生代币余额仍完全正常运行，开发团队正在准备第二份提案，以确立明确的迁移时间表和关停程序。
