BTC 马克·库班：从“宁愿要香蕉也不要比特币”到立场转变

“我宁愿要香蕉，因为我可以吃掉它们。而加密货币则不然，”他说。“比特币的价值取决于有人愿意为其支付多少价格，它本身并没有真正的内在价值。你无法吃下一张棒球卡。”他进一步补充道，“你的艺术品或许挂在墙上很好看，但你很难从中获得实际用途；而对于比特币，你能做的甚至更少。”

However, this upward path is by no means smooth sailing. At the time of Cuban's comments, Bitcoin was already on a downward trend, falling from US$10,070 on September 22, 2019 to US$8,119 four days later. Since then, Bitcoin has climbed all the way, reaching a record high of US$126,080 in October 2025, and then fell sharply in 2026. Anyone who holds on to it for the entire cycle will witness dramatic fluctuations in the value of the $1,000 asset.
Cuban's shift in views
Since 2019, Cuban's views on Bitcoin have changed many times. He later invested in cryptocurrency, which he once called a "better version of gold," but in May 2026 said he had sold most of his holdings.
The decision came after a specific period of time: during a period of geopolitical turmoil, gold prices climbed while Bitcoin weakened.
In August this year, Cuban proposed that high-end artificial intelligence chips could become the "new cryptocurrency" as a new asset class.
Not everyone shares his skepticism. Binance founder Changpeng Zhao said in August this year that Bitcoin may overtake gold during the next bull market.
