ETH Circle and Tether freeze some assets in addresses associated with Bitget hackers
On Friday, Circle and Tether froze some assets at an address related to the Bitget hacking incident, involving approximately $318,000 in stablecoins. However, this amount is negligible compared to the $387.5 million stolen. Most of the stolen funds are held in the form of Ethereum (ETH), and no issuer can freeze this asset.
