LINK Chainlink launches CCIP 2.0, providing a new security standard for organization-level cross-chain asset transfers.
On September 28, 2026, Chainlink officially released an upgraded version of its Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP)-CCIP 2.0. The upgrade aims to help financial institutions securely transfer tokenized assets between multiple blockchains through a single integrated interface, and introduces security and compliance features specifically designed for institutional users.
Core upgrade: Autonomous verification layer
The core highlight of this upgrade is that it allows organizations to deploy independently operated "Cross-Chain Verifiers" on the cloud platform of their choice, such as AWS or Google Cloud. This mechanism adds a layer of user-controlled verification steps to Chainlink's existing network security architecture, thereby significantly improving control over asset flows.
In addition, third-party enterprise service providers such as Infosys and Nethermind can provide additional additional verification layers to meet the needs of organizations that prefer to use external professional providers rather than build their own verification infrastructure.
Built-in compliance and flexible settlement mechanisms
CCIP 2.0 also has built-in automated KYC (Know Your Customer), anti-money laundering (AML) and sanctions screening functions for each cross-chain transaction in the agreement. At the same time, the agreement provides configurable settlement speed options. Institutions can choose near real-time transfers or full final settlement methods that require customized approval based on internal risk management requirements.
Addressing fragmented markets and building neutral standards

据悉，超过 18 家合作伙伴支持 CCIP 2.0 的发布，包括澳新银行（ANZ Bank）、富达国际（Fidelity International）、亚马逊云服务（AWS）以及多个主要的去中心化金融（DeFi）协议。这一涵盖传统银行、资产管理公司、云基础设施提供商以及加密原生协议的广泛合作伙伴阵容，彰显了 Chainlink 将 CCIP 定位为同时服务于传统金融与去中心化金融的基础设施愿景。
直击行业痛点：强化跨链安全性
历史上，跨链桥接一直是区块链基础设施中最常被攻击的领域之一。由于桥接协议通常需要为用户在不同网络间转移资产而持有或铸造大量价值，因此极易成为攻击目标。CCIP 2.0 引入的额外独立验证层，正是对机构用户在涉及真实资产转移时对跨链集成所提出的高标准安全预期的直接回应。
