BTC Strategy increased its holdings of bitcoins, with its holdings exceeding 847,000.
Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy), a US-based bitcoin company, purchased 1,665 bitcoins at a price of approximately US$142.7 million between September 21 and September 27. The increase brought its total bitcoin holdings to 847,666, further widening the gap between the company and all other publicly traded cryptocurrency holders.
Strategy filed Form 8-K with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on September 28, disclosing the transaction. This is the second consecutive week that the company has increased its Bitcoin reserves.
Acquisition completed through stock offering financing
The acquisition was fully funded by the proceeds of Strategy's "at-the-market offering" program. Under the plan, the company will gradually sell its ordinary shares at current market prices. During the week, the company sold 1,469,165 shares of Class A common stock under the ticker symbol MSTR, for a net income of $246.2 million.
Of the total proceeds, US$142.7 million was used to purchase Bitcoin, with an average price of US$85,681 per piece (including fees and expenses), and the remaining US$103.5 million was used to repurchase preferred shares. This average buying price is much higher than the company's comprehensive blended cost price of US$75,437 per piece. Currently, approximately 18.84 million MSTR shares are still available for issuance under the plan.
Treasury positions exceed the 847,000 mark

同步进行优先股回购
与此同时，Strategy 花费 1.517 亿美元回购了 1,534,530 股 STRC 优先股。资金来源于 MSTR 销售所得的 1.035 亿美元以及其 USD Cash 余额中的 4,810 万美元。STRC 被标记为公司的可变利率“Stretch”优先证券，是 Strategy 用于筹集比特币购买资金的多种工具之一。
此外，公司从其 USD Reserve（主要用于支付优先股股息和未偿债务利息）中提取了 2,210 万美元。截至 9 月 27 日，USD Reserve 余额降至 50.2 亿美元，而 USD Cash 余额为 10 亿美元。
此次回购行动与公司提议将四种优先证券转为每日派息同步进行，股东将于 10 月 28 日对此进行投票表决。
