Hedera welcomes fourth strategic partner WISeKey

Hedera Governance Committee has expanded its partner network, formally appointing @WISeKey as its fourth strategic partner and appointing @SpaceDevUya as its eighth community partner. Although neither level of partners directly occupies governance board seats, this move clearly demonstrates Hedera's strategic expansion intentions in cybersecurity and clean energy infrastructure.

WISeKey: Strengthening Digital Trust and Quantum Security

As a global expert in cybersecurity, digital identity and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, WISeKey joins the ranks of strategic partners composed of the Global Blockchain Business Council, Halborn and the Institutes RiskStream Collaborative. The collaboration aims to combine WISeKey's expertise in cybersecurity, digital identity, the Internet of Things, and post-quantum security semiconductors with Hedera's distributed ledger technology to accelerate the construction of a trusted digital ecosystem and machine-to-machine (M2M) transaction system.

SEALCOIN AG, a subsidiary of WISeKey, focuses on developing the SEALCOIN platform. The platform uses post-quantum cryptography to ensure security and enables the autonomous exchange of verified high-value data. Hedera has always been an active practitioner of this vision, with a team of experts in its ecosystem deeply involved in the development of the SEALCOIN platform. By combining trusted device identities with Hedera's scalable distributed infrastructure, the project is committed to laying a solid foundation for machine authentication, value exchange, and autonomous transactions on a global scale.

In addition, the cooperation also involves the field of quantum security. Earlier this year, WISeKey, The Hashgraph Group and Hedera launched the QAIT Q-Day security evaluation platform on the SEALCOIN quantum market. Co-developed by The Hashgraph Group, the platform is designed to help enterprises, governments and critical infrastructure operators assess, monitor and mitigate cybersecurity risks posed by the rise of quantum computing.

SpaceDev: Introducing carbon tokenization experience

SpaceDev is a blockchain and custom software development company headquartered in Miami, Florida, USA, with offices in Uruguay, Argentina and Colombia. As Hedera's eighth community partner, SpaceDev brings rich practical experience in developing based on the Hedera network in multiple fields such as energy, financial technology and Web3 infrastructure.

Previously, SpaceDev partnered with the Blockchain for Energy consortium to build a tokenization platform on Hedera. The platform transforms carbon capture initiatives into auditable on-chain assets, replacing traditional manual and error-prone working methods with standardized, automated processes. By combining distributed ledger technology, artificial intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things technology, the platform creates a comprehensive emissions management platform designed to address the energy industry's need to accurately track and verify carbon emissions and ensure transparency and accountability.

Hedera's partner program makes full use of the skills, networks and resources of industry leaders to promote the implementation of the network in practical applications. The latest collaboration further expands its ability to build secure, decentralized infrastructure in real-world use cases.
