The artificial intelligence company is seeking to raise up to $100 billion in funding, valued at nearly $2 trillion. If successful, it would be the largest initial public offering in history.
Nvidia and Anthropic previously established a partnership in November 2025, with Nvidia committing to invest US$10 billion. Reuters reported on Friday that the semiconductor giant is discussing establishing a significant position in Anthropic's upcoming public offering, potentially investing $10 billion in the deal. The chipmaker's stock traded close to $218.29, down slightly 0.03% during the session.
The artificial intelligence startup is seeking to raise up to $100 billion in deals in preparation for its unprecedented public market debut. Anthropic has set a target market value of nearly $2 trillion. However, these numbers are still under discussion and may change as negotiations progress.
The company as anchor investors promises to buy a predetermined number of shares before a broader marketing push begins. This early commitment provides critical credibility to the release. Given the unprecedented scale of the potential listing, obtaining certification from a prominent technology partner like Nvidia could play a key role.

The relationship between the two companies goes beyond this potential IPO participation. In November last year, Nvidia disclosed plans to deploy up to $10 billion to Anthropic through a comprehensive strategic partnership. The arrangement also includes Anthropic's commitment to purchase $30 billion worth of Microsoft Azure cloud computing resources run by Nvidia processors.
Anthropic's revenue shows explosive growth trajectory
The start-up's revenue momentum is impressive, with an annualized operating rate exceeding US$65 billion as of the end of July. This is a dramatic increase from the approximately US$9 billion recorded at the end of 2025. Such explosive expansion is fueling the company's ambitions to enter the public market.
A few months ago in May, Anthropic received $65 billion in private financing with a post-investment valuation of $965 billion. Achieving the proposed $2 trillion IPO valuation means the company's value more than doubled in just a few months.
Anthropic's current financial backers include technology giants Amazon and Google, which are also key infrastructure providers. The company announced in April that it would commit more than $100 billion in investment to Amazon Web Services over ten years, including plans to deploy more than one million Amazon Trainium2 chips.
In addition, the partnership with Google and Broadcom will bring multiple gigawatts of TPU computing power online, allowing Anthropic to expand its Claude platform to meet surging user demand.
The public offering market has seen a bumper year
The U.S. IPO market has experienced extraordinary development in the past twelve months. According to Dealogic, revenue from traditional U.S. IPOs (excluding special purpose acquisitions) was $137 billion as of August.
Anthropic's market debut will follow SpaceX's June launch, another high-profile release that made a significant contribution to this year's record-setting event.
The company aims to complete its IPO before voters go to the polls to participate in the November midterm elections. To support the ambitious $2 trillion valuation target, Anthropic predicts annual revenue will be between $190 billion and $200 billion by 2028.
Representatives of Anthropic declined to comment. As of press time, Nvidia had not responded to Reuters 'request for comment.
