Ripple's share valuation shows significant growth
The latest disclosure to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission shows that Ripple's private market share pricing has undergone a major adjustment before the end of 2025. Megacorn Fund LP initially held 2,704 shares of Ripple at a cost of $229,840. The fund expects the fair value of these shares to increase to US$373,179 by December 31, 2025. This translates to unrealized gains of approximately $143,339, with a growth rate of approximately 62.4%.
Why did there appear to be a sharp increase?
This increase highlights the significant improvement in valuations. Megacorn Fund LP purchased Ripple shares on April 16, 2024 and expects a share value of US$138.01 by the end of 2025. This investment represents approximately 2.75% of the fund's total equity base. Megacorn Fund LP is known for investing in private companies in the fintechnology and software sectors, while Ripple has attracted attention for developing cross-border payment and blockchain solutions.
According to an SEC filing filed by Megacorn Fund LP, the valuation of Ripple shares increased from a cost price of $229,840 to $373,179 at the end of 2025. Unlike XRP, this appreciation stems from the company's own equity value and reflects Ripple's valuation as a direct company rather than fluctuations in cryptocurrency prices.
Ripple compares with other private companies
In the same document, valuations of other private companies in the fund's portfolio are also listed. Kraken's value rose from a cost price of $168,683 to $276,282;Databricks soared from $999,900 to approximately $1.29 million;Mercury increased from $150,012 to $161,124; and Perplexity showed a more modest increase, from $500,000 to $511,436. Ripple became one of the strongest performing companies with a gain of nearly 62%.
This valuation increase follows the US$500 million strategic financing round completed by Ripple in November 2025, which established a valuation of US$40 billion. Fortress Investment Group and Citadel Securities associated funds led the investment, with institutions such as Pantera Capital, Galaxy Digital, Brevan Howard and Marshall Wace also participating.
The US$500 million strategic financing was announced following a previously announced US$1 billion equity purchase offer at an equivalent valuation of US$40 billion. This revaluation shows that institutional investors have given Ripple extremely high value in the private equity market. However, there may be significant differences in valuations of private company shares by different funds and secondary market platforms. As a result, the document does not provide Ripple's current precise market valuation.
Differences between Ripple shares and XRP
The data disclosed involves shares of Ripple Company, while XRP is an independently operating digital asset. Therefore, the increase in share value must be assessed separately from the price movements of XRP, as they represent different entities in the financial ecosystem.
