TON Why did Tonkeeper change its name to Keeper?
Tonkeeper has officially changed its name to Keeper. As the capabilities of this self-managed wallet expand from the TON ecosystem to six additional blockchain networks, its positioning has changed significantly. Currently, the wallet has more than 77 million registered users and supports multiple mainstream chains including TON, Bitcoin, Ethereum, TRON, BNB Smart Chain, Arbitrum and Base.
This move marks Tonkeeper's transformation from a TON-focused product to a broader cross-chain wallet, while retaining its original integration advantages with the TON ecosystem. Through this move, Keeper no longer relies mainly on activities within TON, but is able to reach the assets and users of many of the largest networks in the crypto market. At a time when self-managed service providers are racing to become the core entry point for users to hold, trade and consume digital assets, this has also greatly broadened the potential market coverage of wallets.
Andrew Rogozov, founder and CEO of The Open Platform, said: "Keeper has opened a new chapter: We will extend the simplicity experience we have always advocated from TON to the broader crypto economy. Our vision is clear: to build a default self-managed wallet for a multi-chain world, allowing users to freely hold, trade and use digital assets on any chain."
The changes behind the wallet

Today, wallets are competing directly with centralized exchanges by integrating functions such as swaps, pledges, lending and derivatives, trying to embed these functions into a self-managed interface. As a result, this expansion puts Keeper in competition not only with other wallets, but also with exchanges and trading applications that seek to master user relationships. Its existing 77 million registered users give Keeper a large potential distribution base. The next key test is whether this group, dominated by TON users, will use wallets for cross-chain operations and adopt the broader financial product portfolio launched by the TOP plan.
