从试验迈向规模化运营

跨境支付试点
今年7月，现代卡公司宣布成功执行了一项涉及现代汽车美国公司和现代汽车墨西哥公司的跨境支付概念验证（PoC）。尽管这笔交易金额约为2万美元，规模不大，但其涉及企业间的真实资金流动，因此引起了广泛关注。
During this process, Hyundai Motor America converted US$20,000 into the USDT dollar-linked stablecoin issued by Tether. The assets were subsequently transferred to Hyundai Motor Mexico through the Avalanche network and reconverted to U.S. dollars upon arrival. Avalanche said that the pilot is not a simulation, but involves an actual reconciliation process between companies.
Data from Hyundai Card shows that the entire transaction takes about 7 minutes on average. In contrast, traditional banking systems take at least 3 to 4 hours to complete the same process. This time efficiency highlights why blockchain-based systems have attracted much attention, especially in inter-business payment scenarios where timeliness requirements are high.
The successful completion of this cross-border payment pilot demonstrates the practical application value of blockchain technology. Compared with traditional banking methods, it has significant advantages in terms of speed and cost. The partners included major entities such as Hyundai Motor, Tether and Axiom, demonstrating a real-life test of the payment process.
Although the results are encouraging, Hyundai Card has not yet decided whether to promote it group-wide and has not announced a timetable for full commercial integration. The company's next step is to ensure performance and operational consistency at higher transaction volumes, which is expected to become an important part of the company's regular treasury management.
