核心机制与过渡安排
若提案获得通过，此次升级将冻结原始 ENS 注册商的新域名注册功能，同时允许现有域名持有者继续续费其名称。此次升级引入了重新设计的注册表架构，提供了更灵活的域名管理和权限控制。在激活之后，ENS Labs 计划将其对升级后合约的剩余管理控制权移交给 DAO。
一旦域名记录完成同步，新的 .eth 域名注册将迁移至升级后的系统。约翰逊警告称，在过渡期间，两个版本的新域名注册功能将在数小时内暂时不可用。
现有用户权益与治理流程
根据提案，现有域名持有者无需强制迁移，其域名将继续正常运行。ENS Labs 还已在升级后的系统中为现有所有者预留了现有的 .eth 名称，允许用户在准备就绪时进行迁移。
Currently, this activation proposal is still in the draft stage. It must be submitted for approval through the DAO voting process on the blockchain before it can be implemented. According to ENS’s governance rules, a proposal requires at least 1% participation from voters (i.e., representing 1 million ENS voting rights). The proposal must also receive majority approval within a seven-day voting period. If approved, there will still be a minimum of two days of delay before the upgrade can be implemented. The exact voting date has not been announced yet.
