New activity lasts until October 2
Binance has launched a new four-week round of USD1 stablecoin airdrops, which will last until October 2, 2026.
The window period for this event is from September 4 to October 2, and 150 million $WLFI tokens will be issued every week. Users can receive a pro-rata weekly allocation by maintaining a net positive USD1 balance in eligible account types (including spot, funds, leveraged and USD1 margin contract accounts). There is no upper limit on personal rewards.
An annualized rate of return is estimated to be approximately 6%, but rewards will be awarded in $WLFI tokens rather than USD1 or U.S. dollars. This means that the actual return depends on the WLFI market price at the time of issuance and when the holder decides to sell.
Some accounts can enjoy a 1.2 times reward bonus based on the amount of collateral held. According to recent activity disclosures, the actual effective annualized rate of return can be increased to approximately 6.33%.
Funding pool shrinks, but activity continues
The reward pool of 150 million $WLFI tokens in this round is smaller than the early activity in 2026. Binance provided 178 million WLFI tokens during the June-July deferral event, while a larger pool of 235 million WLFI tokens was provided during the February-March period. The reward pool for the previous round of events (as of September 4) was 170 million tokens.
Binance has been launching different versions of the USD1 airdrop campaign since early 2026, making it one of the exchange's most enduring incentive events in recent times.
World Liberty Financial, the issuer of USD1, also benefited from this arrangement. Distributing $WLFI governance tokens through Binance user groups is an effective way to expand token ownership while building a community of holders.
USD1 is issued by World Liberty Financial, a DeFi platform associated with the Trump family. The stablecoin is 100% backed by short-term U.S. Treasury bonds, U.S. dollar deposits and other cash equivalents.
In mid-2025, Abu Dhabi's MGX Fund used the stablecoin to acquire a minority stake in Binance for US$2 billion, pushing the liquidity of USD1 to exceed US$2 billion within a few months. This move attracted widespread attention.
